Advantages of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

-

Blood oxygen levels increases, thus conferences and trainings turn out to be efficient and productive. Occupants are less prone to respiratory

diseases, Asthma, Headache, Eye irritation etc. Indoor plants not only produce oxygen but also reduce pollutants and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the air.

This early bird is the first retrofit green building in India. The exceptional and distinctive feature of PBC is the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), which is the process of purifying indoor air with the help of toxin removing plants. Some of these plants are Areca Palm, Mother-inlaw’s Tongue and Money plant. This biotechnology was originally developed by NASA and is being used by PBC’s IAQ Research Team. The building provides mountain fresh air ambience, indoors to its occupants. Being a premium business centre along with superb IAQ, their space for conference/ trainings/interviews, etc. provides a productive and efficient ambience to conferees.

PBC follows various energy conservation practices to reduce the consumption, hence save the resources. They have installed Green Mesh, Motion Sensors, Solar Films, Heat Reflecting Paints and Sky Lights to save energy and also monitor transformer and automatic voltage regulator loss on a monthly basis to keep a regular check on efficiency measures. To conserve energy, they are switching over to LED lights. As a result of energy efficient measures PBC has successfully reduced its sanctioned Maximum Demand Indication (MDI) from 735 KVA to 350 KVA.

They also follow the 3R’s approach - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This helps in maintaining healthy office space, hence increasing the efficiency towards work among the building occupants.

Situated in the hub of the city, Delhi’s prominent commercial hub Nehru Place, PBC is only about 50m away from Nehru Place metro station. It is very commuter-friendly and has the Fortune 500 companies relying on it since 1990.

This centre is one of the few early birds to realise the effectiveness of cashing in on the wave of environment friendliness and making a difference not only to the corporates around but also the surroundings. They’re doing their bit, Are you?
