National Confectionary Expo in Japan

The 26th National Confectionary Expo will be held in Hiroshima from April 19-May 12, 2013. The breathtaking artistry will be displayed throughout the festival. Visitors can even get some hands-on experience and learn how to make your own confectionaries. The highlight of the ‘Hiroshima Confectionary Expo 2013’ is the Symbol Exhibition of the World Heritage Site, ‘Itsukushima Shrine’, made from the techniques of confectionary artworks. When completed, the ‘torii’ (shrine arch) will be 1.1 m, and the main shrine building 70 cm high.
