New air­lines will help the do­mes­tic mar­ket

The year 2014 will see an in­crease in de­mand for both do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional travel as both are dif­fer­ent mar­kets al­to­gether. How­ever, do­mes­tic MICE is com­par­a­tively ex­pected to in­crease more due to the ru­pee fluc­tu­a­tion and with com­pa­nies look­ing for­ward to ex­plor­ing do­mes­tic des­ti­na­tions to make the most of their re­stricted bud­gets. Also, con­sid­er­ing new air­lines, such as Air Asia and Sin­ga­pore Air­lines, get­ting into the do­mes­tic mar­ket with di­ver­gent prod­ucts - the for­mer a cham­pion in break­ing down pric­ing and the lat­ter a pioneer in lux­ury ser­vice on board, we can ex­pect a con­sid­er­able in­crease in do­mes­tic travel.

In the in­ter­na­tional mar­ket also, we ex­pect an in­creased move­ment in the third and fourth quar­ters post the Gen­eral Elec­tions, hope­fully with po­lit­i­cal, eco­nomic sta­bil­ity and

stronger ru­pee
