San Diego Convention Center launches mobile conventions app

San Diego Convention Center Corporation (SDCCC) and San Diego-based Total Communicator Solutions Inc. announced the development of a mobile platform for the convention industry using proximity beacons to deliver hyper location content, analytics and marketing messages to convention attendees and show managers. The app launches when attendees arrive in San Diego and can guide them to the convention and provide information throughout their stay. The mobile app enables convention managers to verify who is in which booth, how long they have been there and delivers relevant and on-point content directly to the attendee’s mobile device when they are in the booth. With the app, there is no need to manually check in or scan badges.
