Korea seeks to foster MICE Industry

To give a boost to the MICE sector in the country, a Korea MICE Expo was held from June 19-20, 2014 at the KINTEX Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. The event was hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization and the culture ministry. It provided buyers and exhibitors an environment for business deals. The capital, Seoul, was named the Best International Business Meetings City by the Business Traveler magazine of U.S. for the second time. However, the MICE industry in the other cities has been at a low ranking in terms of transportation, marketing and accommodation facilities for business travellers. The Expo focussed on fostering MICE facilities in the country as a whole.
