In­dia’s Busi­ness Travel Spend to Grow to $24.9 bil­lion: GBTA

The ed­u­ca­tion and re­search arm of Global Busi­ness Travel As­so­ci­a­tion (GBTA) has re­leased a re­port that projects In­dia’s to­tal busi­ness travel spend this year to grow by 2.1 per cent year-on-year to $24.9 bil­lion. This, it states, will in­crease 7.9 per cent next year to touch $28.8 bil­lion. The BTI Out­look—In­dia re­port states that In­dia’s do­mes­tic busi­ness travel spend­ing will grow by 2.2 per cent in 2014. The as­so­ci­a­tion in­di­cated that the new govern­ment could boost In­dia’s busi­ness and in­vestor con­fi­dence. In­dia’s in­ter­na­tional out­bound busi­ness travel spend­ing is ex­pected to grow 1.1 per cent this year and 7 per cent next year.
