India’s Business Travel Spend to Grow to $24.9 billion: GBTA

The education and research arm of Global Business Travel Associatio­n (GBTA) has released a report that projects India’s total business travel spend this year to grow by 2.1 per cent year-on-year to $24.9 billion. This, it states, will increase 7.9 per cent next year to touch $28.8 billion. The BTI Outlook—India report states that India’s domestic business travel spending will grow by 2.2 per cent in 2014. The associatio­n indicated that the new government could boost India’s business and investor confidence. India’s internatio­nal outbound business travel spending is expected to grow 1.1 per cent this year and 7 per cent next year.
