Safe waste disposal campaign at KLCC
In conjunction with herSafe Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Campaign, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has set up a dedicated HHW collection point to encourage team members, visitors to the facility and the public to dispose of their HHW, responsibly and safely. According to Alan Pryor, General Manager, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, household hazardous waste or HHW are household products that contain potentially hazardous ingredients that may be corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive and require special care when it comes to disposal. “While the improper disposal of HHW such as putting them out with the trash may not be immediately obvious, their improper disposal can pollute the environment and pose a threat to human health. Our Safe Disposal of HHW Campaign is to encourage and offer, team members, visitors to the facility and the public a convenient and safe option to dispose of their HHW.”
