Airbräu Beer Garden
Meeting Facilities
The Munich Airport Convention Centre can hold up to 3,000 guests. Companies like Audi host many events at the centre. In fact, large organisations fly in their staff from around the world into Munich Airport, have their meetings, spend entertaining evenings at the airport itself and fly back without having to step out.
Food and entertainment
As long as one has a Schengen visa, there’s plenty to do at Munich Airport. The Airport Centre, which divides Terminals 1 and 2, is a large green area, with an ice skating rink, World Cup viewing for football enthusiasts and believe it or not, even tennis courts for the sports buff. “We have two airport hotels with 400 rooms. But, before stepping out of the airport, you can experience a lot, like the brewery at the Bier Garten (beer garden) and for the Indian passengers, there is Asian and vegetarian food on offer,” says Born with a gleam of satisfaction. They also offer playgrounds and day care for children, if the need should arise. The prices at the airport shops are controlled so they are the same as downtown. Munich Airport also has rest areas and soundproof sleeping cabins, with an alarm clock, which can be rented for €10 at night and €15 in the day, per hour.
Services
The Airport also has the most luxurious VIP Lounge for First Class passengers but can be booked under the Airport’s VIP Program for €230 (commissionable to travel agents at five per cent). Under the VIP Program, a quicker security check and help with VAT Reclaim can be organised.
