Further, Senior Vice PresidentIndia and Head, TUI-Meetings & Incentives & ICE-Integrated Conference & Event Management tells us, “In terms of a hotel, the most important parameter is the room inventory, the type of rooms in each category as availability of twin rooms could be of prime importance, size of meeting spaces and banquet halls for hosting ceremonies and dinners, in-house availability of various conferencing facilities, different cuisines and the location of the hotel.” If the venue chosen is not the hotel itself where the delegates are staying, then the venue closer to the hotel is chosen to reduce the travel time. “Various parameters such as location, accessibility, price, experience, cost, quality assurance and relationship with the hotel play an important role in deciding a MICE hotel. Also if it is a large conference then the availability of adequate space for parallel sessions, exhibition area, social programmes, etc. need to be considered,” adds Chairperson, MCI Delhi.
