In­dia Con­ven­tion Pro­mo­tion Bureau (ICPB) is a man­age­ment ori­ented or­gan­i­sa­tion that has been pro­mot­ing and es­tab­lish­ing In­dia as a pre­ferred MICE desti­na­tion. The Chair­man of ICPB is the Joint Sec­re­tary, Tourism, Govern­ment of In­dia, cur­rently is the Chair­man of ICPB. In the newly elected board are:

Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, A T & Sea­sons Va­ca­tions Travel is the new Hon­orary Sec­re­tary of ICPB. The elec­tion for the gov­ern­ing board of ICPB hap­pens ev­ery al­ter­nate year, and this year it was held un­der the su­per­vi­sion of

We will be hold­ing the Con­ven­tion In­dia Con­clave, the flag­ship pro­gramme of ICPB, on a big­ger scale, prefer­ably out­side Delhi with more in­ter­na­tional or­gan­i­sa­tions like ICCA and IMEX par­tic­i­pat­ing in the event. The other pri­or­ity area will be the mem­ber­ship drive. The vi­sion is to open ICPB Chap­ters in ma­jor state cap­i­tals. Mar­ket re­search study is an­other im­por­tant seg­ment. Un­less we know the size of the MICE in­dus­try and the eco­nomic im­pact, the stake­hold­ers can­not plan their pri­or­i­ties for cre­at­ing ad­di­tional in­fra­struc­ture and work on pro­mo­tional ac­tiv­i­ties. The vi­sion is mainly to take MICE pol­icy rec­om­men­da­tions to the Min­istry of Tourism which we will de­lib­er­ate with the mem­bers and then for­ward it to the min­istry.”
