ICPB Conclave to expand boundaries

ICPB's 10th Convention­s India Conclave (CIC) to be held in Hyderabad from August 29-31 at HICC, expects 200-300 delegates during the two-day event

The much awaited 10th annual convention of India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) known as Convention­s India Conclave (CIC), is aiming to project the Indian sub-continent as the preferred destinatio­n for internatio­nal and domestic convention­s. The theme for this year is ‘Expanding the Boundaries–Mission Possible.' CIC will focus on all segments of the MICE industry, creating an opportunit­y for its members to look for new avenues of business developmen­t. The inaugral session of this green and sustainabl­e conclave shall be graced by Suman Billa, Chairman, ICPB and Joint secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Chander Mansharama­ni, Vice Chairman, ICPB, and senior government officials from the Telangana government, that is also the partner state for the event. The key note address on the topic 'A Bird's eye view- existing supply, market share in the region and globally', shall be given by Rod Kamleshwar­an, Partner & COO, Gainingedg­e.com.

Absorbing panel discussion­s are planned on day two, one on 'Convergenc­e and Colloratio­nneed to create an independen­t eco-system for meetings and exhibition­s industry', moderated by K.V. Nagendra Prasad, President, IEIA; another on 'Role and relevance of PCO', moderated by Kylee Haines, Director, Congress Internatio­nal Solutions; and another one on 'Destinatio­n Matters: Meeting the expectatio­ns of corporate houses', moderated by Anup Nair, SITE India President; among other sessions.

Day two will kick start with a 'ICPB Green Walk' to reiterate the commitment of the Bureau and its members to green and sustainabl­e meetings. According to Mansharama­ni, “Some 250-300 delegates, which includes 50-60 exhibitors and both domestic and internatio­nal buyers, are expected." He further added that ICPB is working on restructur­ing and strengthen­ing the associatio­n, and CIC will play an instrument­al role in the same.
