When women are empowered, history is created: Vardhan

- OUR CORRESPONDENT

NEW DELHI: Stressing on women empowerment, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, “International Women's Day, which is celebrated across the globe, gives us an opportunity to mark our respect and gratitude towards womankind for the unparallel contribution they make in our lives”.

While addressing a webinar organised by the WHO, Vardhan said, “In India, we call our revered Motherland as Matribhumi, quite in consonance with the Indian tradition which ordains high and respectable position for women in society.”

“Our history” is the sacred biography of the Mother. Our philosophies are the revelations of the Mother's mind,” he said.

The union minister further said, “I have always said where there is a woman, there is magic. Today's celebration is not about making our women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”

In a contribution towards women empowerment, scientists have developed a new technique Ayouthveda to protect women from infections as the products prepared under the aegis of Ayouthveda are free from chemicals.

As about 80 per cent of women ignore the importance of their internal hygiene that led to various bacterial and fungus infections, the herbalbased Ayouthveda vagitone intimate hygiene wash, which is rich in green tea, haridra and amla among others, is proving an effective preventive cure to get rid of women's internal problems.

“Mostly, it has been found that chemical-based products have an adverse health impact on the women. Hence when it comes to internal hygiene organs of women, it is more important to be careful,” said Sanchit Sharma, who represents herbal drug manufacturing firm AIMIL.

Studies have indicated that women in the age group of 18 to 45 years do not share their ‘internal' problems either due to their busy schedule or shyness.
