BJP & TMC WORKERS CLASH, 5 HELD

KOLKATA: A clash broke out between BJP and Trinamool Congress workers at Chowbaga in Anandapur on Sunday night. When a few TMC workers were passing by a BJP party office at ward number 108, the BJP workers allegedly threw glass bottles at them. A few of them suffered injuries due to the attack. However, BJP also alleged that on Sunday while they were sitting in front of the party office, a few miscreants backed by TMC attacked them. A clash broke out. A large contingent of police from Anandapur police station and East division rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. Around five persons from both the parties were arrested.
