POSTERS DISFIGURED, CLAIMS TMC

KOLKATA:The flags, festoons and and posters of Trinamool Congress were disfigured in Gangarampur allegedly by the activists of BJP on Monday night.

In protest, a group of TMC workers-led by the Gangarampur block Trinamool president Mrinal Sarkar blocked the National Highway 512 demanding immediate arrest of the culprits. The blockade continued for 45 minutes. The protestors lifted the blockade after getting the assurance from the local administration and police to book the goons who were responsible for the incident. A complaint has already been lodged with the Returning Officer of Gangarampur against seven BJP activists. “The incident took place in Gangarampur’s Kalitala area when I was returning home from the party office,” said the TMC leader.
