‘Extend deadline for applying to PUBDET’
KOLKATA: Students' platform Independents Consolidation (IC) has appealed to the Presidency University authorities as well as the West Bengal State Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to extend the last date of application for Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2021.
WBJEEB will conduct common entrance test PUBDET-2021 and counselling for admission into various threeyear B.A./B.Sc. (Honours) undergraduate Courses in the Presidency University.
The last date of application for PUBDET entrance examination had ended on April 8.
The IC in its email to Arabinda Nayek who is in charge of admission at Presidency and Chairman of WBJEEB Malayendu Saha has pointed out that a good number of students particularly from the rural areas has reached out to them and expressed their concern over not filling up form for PUBDET 2021 since they were not aware of the last date of application.
“The extension of dates would ensure that no student is denied the prospect of studying at Presidency University due to lack of proper information, internet access and other issues,”an IC spokesperson said.
“No aspirant has approached us on this issue as yet. However, the decision in this regard can be taken only by the WBJEEB,” a senior official of the university said.
