BJP WORKERS ‘ATTACKED’ DURING RALLY

KOLKATA: A group of people allegedly attacked BJP workers during a rally at Baranagar in North 24-Parganas on Wednesday afternoon. The BJP candidate in Baranagar Assembly constituency, Parno Mitra, alleged that Trinamool Congress-backed goons attacked the party workers during a rally where she was present. She further alleged that women were also assaulted by the miscreants. Later, she went to Baranagar police and lodged a complaint. Meanwhile, BJP workers put up a blockade on the B T road in front of the police station. The blockade was withdrawn after police assured necessary action. However, TMC declined allegations.
