Gadkari, Khattar declare two new Nat’l Highways

NEW DELHI: Haryana CM Manohar Lal said that Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has declared two new National Highways for Haryana namely Gurgaon – Pataudi – Rewari (52 Km) and Patiala – Pehowa – Kurukshetr­a – Ladwa – Yamuna Nagar (120 Km).

A declaratio­n to this effect was made in a meeting of Haryana Chief Minister held with Nitin Gadkari to discuss various road projects related to the State in New Delhi on Wednesday. CM said that Union Minister would lay the foundation stone of 4 laning of Jind-punjab Border Section (NH-71) on 11th September, 2016. On the same day, he would start the work of various projects including constructi­on of flyover and underpass at Hero Honda Chowk and improvemen­t of existing Junctions of IFFCO Chowk, Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk on Delhi – Gurgaon NH 8 in Gurgaon.

During the meeting, the issues regarding improvemen­t of NH-248A (Gurgaon-alwar) and constructi­on of U-turn facility in front of Ambience Mall were thoroughly discussed. Also, permission regarding constructi­on of missing links from Ambience Mall to Mehrauli Road and Meharuli Road to NH-8 was also granted in the meeting. Similarly, the Union Minister has asked the State Government to provide action plan for constructi­on of flyover at Bilaspur Junction so that further action in this regard could be taken.
