NEW DELHI: South MCD is going to launch an advanced and updated grievance redressal system to ensure speedy redressal of the grievances. The announcement was made by Mayor Shyam Sharma after reviewing the existing system of grievance redressal.

“A call centre will be soon launched as all necessary requirements for this have been made as per an action plan formulated earlier,” said Sharma. “The centre will be manned by the experienced professionals, supervisors and data entry operators in sufficient numbers in order to expedite redressal and set up a reliable and quick Complaint Grievance Management System,” he added. Sharma further stated that he wants the complaints be resolved in lesser time and feedback of the complaint is also recorded.

As per the proposal, the new system will register grievances regarding the services provided by the South MCD. A new toll free number will be made public for registration of the complaints to facilitate the citizens to register grievances which will be forwarded to the concerned officers of the Corporation for redressal. Immediately after the registration of the complaints, a token number will be issued to the complainant and the grievance will be automatically forwarded to the Zonal Nodal Officers. If the complaints are resolved at that level, the complaint will be get closed and a confirmation will be sent to the complainant otherwise the complaint will be automatically forwarded to the Nodal Officer which will be further forwarded to the concerned Grievance Officer for further necessary action. The grievance registered in the system will be visible in the system for department officials.
