THE THIRD EDITION of ‘Rongali’ – the three day festival of good vibes – aims at promoting Assam as a tourism destinatio­n and to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Assam and building bridges amongst various tribes living in Assam.

This edition of ‘Rongali’ will be held from February 3 to 5 at Veterinary Ground, Khanapara and Brahmaputr­a Riverfront in Guwahati, Assam. The Last two editions were attended by lakhs of people.

‘Rongali’ would showcase the various facets of Assam. The riverfront areas of mighty river Brahmaputr­a will witness various adventure sports like aero sports, water sports, traditiona­l boat race, angling competitio­n, trekking and much more.

The other venue at Khanapara will witness the “Bor Axom” where the colourful tribes of Assam including bodo, mising, karbi, dimasa, rabha, tiwa, sonowal kachari and singphoh will showcase their way of life, food, liquor, traditiona­l hand loom products and vibrant dance forms.

Weavers, artisans, North Eastern ethnic food festival, folk music, plenty of traditiona­l sports of North East India, stylist fashion shows, cycling, traditiona­l drama and many more will mesmerize the visitors for all three days.

Every evening India’s best musical bands such as Euphoria, Parikrama, Alobo Naga, Bollywood singers like Ash King, Arjun, top notch DJS like Nucelya, Teri Miko would enthral the audience.

Music is the essence of Assam and North East. And ‘Rongali’ will celebrate the music.

The festival has become the biggest festival of Assam with the aim of establishi­ng Assam as a hot tourist destinatio­n by showcasing its nature, culture, harmony, food, music, adventure and culture of various local tribes of the state.
