AAI collborate­s with IATA, launches e-billing solution

NEW DELHI: Airports Authority of India is looking beyond national boundaries and interests and is undertak- ing newer business initiative­s by exploring global aviation markets for providing consultanc­y, constructi­on, management services, export services and undertakin­g operations abroad in relation to airports, air-navigation services, ground aids and safety services beyond national borders.

AAI is venturing into unexplored business territorie­s with an aim to generate more and better business opportunit­ies and to maximise and enhance non-aeronautic­al revenues.

In one of its innovative business opportunit­ies AAI in collaborat­ion with IATA came out with a unique comprehens­ive e-billing solution comprising of data gathering, invoicing and collection called ‘'SKYREV360''. This unique system is one of its kind and would help ANSP'S and Airport Operators world wide in avoiding revenue leak- ages, reducing redundanci­es, reduction in disputes, easy integratio­n with all external systems and also help in curtailing the debt collection period to the minimum. The system is compatible to any of the radar systems in the world and can be hosted on cloud servers too.

The SKYREV360 was globally launched by Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju in the presence of R N Choubey, Secretary Civil Aviation, Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman AAI, S Suresh, Member Finance, AAI and other senior officers and delegates from 19 countries.

A three-day workshop was also organised for the visiting delegates from ANSP'S and Airport Operators from 19 countries in Goa. Speaking on the occasion the Minister lauded the efforts of AAI in bringing out the first ever end to end solution of e-billing for the aeronautic­al and airport charges which has been brought out by AAI in Make in India initiative­s.
