COTTAGE CRAFTS MELA
To promote the exclusive Indian handicrafts, handlooms and spirit of craftsmanship, Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIC) had organized this exhibition to display the Cottage Premium Range Of Crafts and Weaves for the visitors. The products range in exhibition will include artefacts, pottery, marblecraft, metalcraft, stonecraft, furniture, papier mache, toys, carpets, sarees and many more. TRIBUTE TO MAHATMA GANDHI
An iconic modernist painter, Syed Haider Raza has come up with a solo show in collaboration with the Raza Foundation of seven paintings created in 2013 as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Created using subdued hues and motifs that are somewhat a departure from what one usually sees in a Raza painting, each of these seven acrylics on canvas are unique in their content and execution. REMEMBERING GHALIB
A two day cultural event is set to pay tribute and keep alive the soulful writings and poems penned down by the Mughal Raj poet, Ghalib. And to re-live the refined language of Urdu, Padma Bhushan Kathak dancer Uma Sharma will interpret his poems and will bring out the many moods buried in Ghalib’s work.
