NEW DELHI: Buoyed over exit poll forecasts, the BJP party headquarters on Ashoka Road was gearing up for celebrations on Friday.

According to BJP sources, the Prime Minister might join in the celebrations at the party headquarters on Saturday. “Modi has taken one hour break (12.00-1.00 pm) from his schedule. If the party wins in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur, then Modi might join party workers in celebrating,” said sources.

Following the result of the exit polls on Thursday, BJP workers have already started their celebration at various places. Also, in Allahabad, they were seen celebrating the party's win in exit poll results.

At the party HQ in Ashoka Road, the party leaders said, “The preparation for celebrations will start from Saturday morning. The entire office will be bedecked with flowers. Also, there will be fire crackers and sweets .”

Earlier, senior BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi had stated that the people of the state had refused to support any alliance (Sp-congress) in the state. “BJP would surely form the next government in the state with an absolute majority,” she said.

On Thursday, the actress turned politician Hema Malini claimed that the saffron party has worked hard towards the development of Uttar Pradesh and that would be reflected in the poll outcome.
