Mel B accuses Stephen Belafonte of multiple abuses

LOS ANGELES: Singer Mel B has accused her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte of multiple abuses and impregnati­ng the nanny.

In late March, the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge filed for divorce from her husband of nearly ten years citing irreconcil­able difference­s and requesting joint custody of their six-year-old daughter, Madison, reported E! Online.

Amid a new restrainin­g order request against Belafonte, the star has accused the 41-year-old producer of a variety of abuse and threats over HYDERABAD: Academy Awardwinni­ng composer AR Rahman never realised that he was born for music and it was his mother who predicted that he would be a music composer. I felt one day I will have all types of equipment all over this place that I can’t afford now.” Rahman, who participat­ed in a panel discussion here on “Creativity in Innovation,” alongside fellow Oscar winner Resul Pookutty, said his only aim was to practice and learn music.

“Around 1986, I stopped playing for other composers. I felt practicing the course of their marriage, including physical assault and battery, verbal threats and surveillin­g.

Mel B described in her declaratio­n, “when something good would happen for me, he would beat me down to let me know he was in charge.”

She alleged in the declaratio­n he often demeaned her with negative comments about her intelligen­ce or appearance, specifical­ly after giving birth.
