Further, the Delhi Police on February 16 replied to the letter sharing startling figures which showcased that out of 108 police stations which had CCTV cameras installed, cameras of 64 stations were nonfunctional and 82 police stations run without CCTV.

The report received by the Commission also stated that the Delhi police had decided to install ten CCTV cameras, each in ten police stations as a pilot project.

According to reports by the Commission, a total of 435 CCTV cameras were installed in 108 police stations out of which only 239 cameras were operational.

As per reports, the 108 police stations include- Gandhi Nagar police station which has four CCTVS installed in 2003 out of which none are working.

The Malviya Nagar station echoes the same condition with all four working cameras.

Also, the Parliament Street premises have all three cameras working effectively.
