On May 15, the Delhi Police of South East Delhi received specific information about Sonu and Anand.

Both were declared proclaimed offender in gangrape case of Shahdra.

The duo had planned to visit Garhi village when the AATS team laid a trap.

Following this, they were arrested.

He, along with Soni, used to provide call girls to their clients in Delhi and NCR. Sonu Bangalan's actual name is Nina Soni, said sources.

“Gaurav Anand and Sonu Bangalan were subject to intensive interrogation. Gaurav revealed that he used to work as a driver in a call center. He was removed from the job after he raised voice for enhanced salary. He then had an altercation with his wife and left home. He came in contact with Nina soni alias Sonu Bangalan and started living with her. She was running a call girl racket and Gaurav joined her,” said Romil Baaniya, DCP South East Delhi.

Sources stated that to dodge the police of several states where they were running their sex racket, the duo continuously changed their hideouts for the past several months.

Sonu a resident of West Bengal was abandoned by her husband after she gave birth to two children.

Following this, she came to Delhi and started living with Atul Soni.

It is this when she started the racket. When Sonu came in contact with Anand, she left Atul Soni and started living with Gaurav.

Later, both Anand and Sonu started running this sexual racket.
