GURUGRAM: Suspecting that his wife had an extra marital affair, a man hacked her male friend to death.

The incident occurred on Saturday night in the slums of Sector-57 where the murderer, identified as Matadin, attacked the victim Satyendar with his axe multiple times till he lay dead in a pool of blood.

After the incident, the culprit surrendered himself at the nearby police station.

According to police, the man did not have any sign of remorse in committing the horrific act.

Matadin had major differences with Satyendar and had indulged in fights with him several times, police said.

Matadin who belonged from Uttar Pradesh was working as a daily wage labourer.

Meanwhile, the police have recovered the axe and has sent the culprit to Bhondsi jail. They have also sent the body for post mortem.

The case has been registered at the Sector-56 police station.

“Based on our interaction with Matadin, he confessed to his crime instantly. In fact he himself came and surrendered after committing the crime. It seems that the incident was carried in the fit of extreme rage where the attacker killed his victim by attacking him on his body parts like throat and abdomen with the axe.

“We will however look into other angles of the case as well,” said Inspector Arvind Kumar, Station Head Officer (SHO) Sector-56 police station.
