Delhi Police personnel from different police stations were also deployed there.

The security forces and the police personnel are seen standing in the nearby park and the street, keeping a close watch on the situation.

Kusum, a relative of the deceased Ankit, told Millennium Post that the condition of Kamlesh (Ankit’s mother) was not good after the incident. She fell unconscious many times.

“Whenever she wakes up, she calls the name of her son Ankit and then again falls unconscious,” said Kusum.

The police claimed that he was in the relationship with a girl for the last two years. He was killed by her relatives.

Eyewitnesses claimed that he did not want to fight with anyone and wanted to resolve the issue by talking.

Meanwhile, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Sunday issued a notice to the police in the matter.

In the notice, DCW said it has taken a suo-moto cognisance of the matter and raised serious concerns about the safety of the woman friend.

DCW asked whether adequate police protection has been provided to the woman, adding that police should provide the number of personnel deployed round the clock.
