Has a smooth release: Sidharth Malhotra

MUMBAI: Actor Sidharth Malhotra, whose film Aiyaary – set for release on February 9 was yet to receive a censor certificat­e, is hopeful the movie will have a smooth journey to the screens. According to reports, since the movie is set against the army backdrop, the Defence Ministry wants to review the film. This comes after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat was viewed by a special panel as part of the censor board’s certificat­ion process.

Asked if these things will affect the way films are made and released, Sidharth said here: “Our producers are tackling it. It’s in the process. Each film has its own reasons. We have seen what happened with that film (Padmaavat).

“Our film doesn’t have severe issues as far as I know after talking with my producers. I have full faith that our producers will come up with a positive result, so I don’t see any issue with that. I hope that our film have smooth release.” On Aiyaary, which also features Manoj Bajpayee, he said: “The experience of shooting the film has been wonderful. For the first time, I am playing an army and military intelligen­ce officer in an army uniform. We shot this film in Kashmir, London, happening,” billboard.com quoted Ora as saying.

The ‘Anywhere’ hitmaker added: “It was all these emotions, so my album is definitely a rollercoas­ter of emotions ... I’m still crazy, like, I still love to go out and party.”

“Everyone who knows me knows that I love to have a good time, but I wanted this album to also be (something) you could put on and vibe with your friends. There’s a lot of ups and downs, but I’m very, very proud of it.”

She also said that she is excited for what 2018 will bring for her with her music.

LOS ANGELES: Actor Jennifer Aniston has hinted at the possibilit­y of a ‘Friends’ reunion, almost 15 years after the popular show ended. ‘The Yellow Birds’ actor talked about the show during an appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’, reports independen­t.co.uk. The actor also gave some details on her new TV series with actor Reese Witherspoo­n. But the conversati­on didn’t stick to her new show – it focused on an old one ‘Friends’.

After performing the clap from the ‘Friends’ theme song “I’ll be there for you”, Degeneres asked Aniston what everyone has always been wondering about a reunion: “Is it even in the realm of possibilit­y?” The Emmy award-winning actor played it cool and said: “Anything is a possibilit­y, Ellen. Anything! Right? I mean, George Clooney got married… That’s like an anything can happen.”

‘Friends’ had a successful run on TV from 1994 to 2004, starring Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, and David Schwimmer. The sitcom revolves around six friends living in Manhattan.ians Delhi, Mumbai and Cairo, so it has got very wide landscape. “I am very excited and nervous for ‘Aiyaary’. Spy thriller is new zone for me and it is a very relevant film, so I am hoping the audience would like our film. I think with entertainm­ent, audience can relate with the issue which we have shown. So, our entire team is looking forward for the release.” On rumours that Aiyaary could be released tax-free, Sidharth said: “No, we haven’t spoken about it yet. But if that happens, it will be a great as more people will be able to enjoy the film.
