SHO sent to Distt Lines for seeking god-woman’s blessing in uniform

Seeking blessings of a godwoman proved costly for an SHO of Delhi Police after their photo showing the SHO sitting with closed eyes and the god-woman placing her hands on his head giving blessings went viral. The Station House officer of Janakpuri police station was immediately transferred to District Lines after the matter came to the notice of senior police officers. What has irked the senior police officers is the fact that the SHO Inder Lal was in his official police uniform while seeking the blessings.

In the photo that has been shared by the god-woman on her Facebook profile shows the SHO in police uniform seated on a chair while the god-woman who calls herself Jyotish Energy guru Sadhika Namita Acharya is seen standing behind him with her palms on the SHO'S head. It seems that when the SHO closed his eyes, someone clicked the photograph most probably from the PR team of the god-woman. The god-woman later posted the photo on her Facebook profile on July 21 at around 1:20 pm.

Confirming the SHO'S transfer to the district lines, DCP West Vijay Kumar said, “It is not at all appropriate for a police officer to go to a Sadhvi or god-woman in police uniform. A vigilance inquiry by an Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police has been ordered against him.”

The Facebook profile of Sadhika Namita Acharya shows her with various politicians, actors and directors where she is seen either having a photo op with them or placing her hands on their heads for ‘Blessings'. Last year, a group of policemen in a different part of Delhi landed in a similar trouble after another self-declared godwoman Radhe Maa was seen sitting in the chair of an officer in a photo that went viral.
