Man who killed wife for suspected AFFAIR WITH FIRST HUSBAND ARRESTED
NOIDA: In another incident marital discord turning fatal, a man was arrested by Noida Police for stabbing his wife to death after he suspected her of having an affair with her first husband. Police said that the woman was murdered on Saturday while the arrest was made on Thursday morning.
Police on Thursday said that 25-year-old, Ruby Khatoon was stabbed at least six times in the stomach by her husband Aslam in front of their three-year-old son and scores of onlookers at a marketplace in Harola on Saturday, where she lay bleeding and crying for help for around 20 minutes.
Eventually, the police took her to a hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
Cops said that around seven-eight years ago, Ruby had been married to a man, Rafeeq, but later got separated after she fell in love with Aslam around four years back and decided to marry him.
Even after their marriage, Aslam often would claim that she was in contact with her first husband, which soured the couple’s relationship.
“During interrogation, accused Raju, alias Aslam, told police that his wife was involved in an illicit relationship with her first husband, which caused frequent quarrels between them. One day, s when things turned too bitter, he murdered her in the feat of anger” said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police (city), Noida.
The officer further told media that a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and he will be sent to the jail after producing before the court.
Meanwhile, in a different incident, on Sunday night, a 47-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan after brutally murdering his wife in Galaxy Vega residential society of Greater Noida West.
Police said that the man murdered his wife after their relationship turned sour as the wife suspected the man to have been involved in a relationship with some other woman and used to quarrel with him frequently.
