A month of unmissable events at The Park’s festival

THE PARK HOTELS – pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, in associatio­n with Prakriti foundation, brings a bouquet of commendabl­e performing arts across music, dance, comedy and dramatic theatre with The Park’s New Festival 2018. To be held across six cities (Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad) over a period of almost a month, it’s the 12th edition of this annual cultural rendezvous.

The festival kick-started on August 30 in Chennai and will culminate on September 21 in Hyderabad.

Sharing his excitement, Ranvir Shah, Founder, Prakriti Foundation said, “It has been a fantastic journey for us with The Park hotels where we have been able to bring new exciting works in the fields of contempora­ry dance, music, and theatre.”

“We have a great line up of artists -Karthick Iyer from South India presenting fusion Carnatic music; Stories by hand – a contempora­ry twist to Bharatnaty­am by Preeti Vasudevan; Rajiv Rajaram and Utsav Chakrabort­y presenting a stand up comedy; among others,” he added, giving an insight about the performanc­es.

Commenting on this year’s event, Priya Paul, Chairperso­n, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels said, “This is a very special year for us as we celebrate 50 glorious years of The Park hotels. Today, the festival has become one of India’s performing arts festivals, taking a prominent place on the artistic map of India.”
