Woman, paramour arrested for killing her ex-boyfriend

NOIDA: A woman and her male friend were arrested on Saturday night for allegedly stabbing woman's former boyfriend to death, the police said on Sunday.

According to police, the accused Saira Khatoon (22) and Raheem (28) –both from Bihar, have been arrested for the murder of one Ishrafil who was found dead with his throat slit near a drainage in Noida Sector 168 on September 3.

Police said that the woman murdered her ex-boyfriend after she got fed up of black mailing.

“Saira was in a relationsh­ip with Raheem and both wanted to marry each other but her former boyfriend, who was also a friend to Raheem, used to black mail her and forced her to continue their friendship. As the woman refused to take the advances, he started to blackmail her to disclose their relation to Raheem,” said Ajay Pal Sharma, Senior Superinten­dent of Police, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

The officer added that the woman, called her boyfriend from Bihar and both of them planned to murder Ishrafil.

“Fed up of the blackmaili­ng,

Saira decided to kill him and called Raheem to Noida on September 2. The woman then asked Ishrafil to meet her at Noida city centre from where they went towards sector 168 in deceased man's auto while Rahim followed them. Once they were in a secluded area, the woman blindfolde­d him on pretext of a sexual move and then slit his throat. Once Rahim reached the spot, the duo smashed his head with a stone to hide his identity,” added Sharma.

The duo then fled from the spot and Rahim went back to Bihar.

“Raheem boarded a flight to Bihar soon after the incident while the woman went back to her rented house in Dwarka area of Delhi, where she worked as domestic help. The duo also dumped deceased's auto at a secluded place near sector 168 and took another auto to reach Delhi,” Sharma further told reporters.

Meanwhile, police produced both the accused before a magistrate and they have been sent to the jail.
