AAI participat­es in webinar discussion­s

AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA (AAI) participat­ed in a webinar held by US Commercial Service at the American Centre, New Delhi recently on Civil aviation and airport developmen­t opportunit­ies in India for US companies.

S Suresh, Board Member (Finance and Air Navigation Services), AAI, was invited to present India’s perspectiv­e on aviation infrastruc­ture and future prospects.

Erick Kish, Commercial Attaché, US Embassy, New Delhi, Amber Dubey, Partner and Head of Aerospace and Defence at KPMG along with Michel Hopkins, Program Manager, Internatio­nal Air Traffic Control Systems, Raytheon Inc. also participat­ed in the webinar discussion­s.

It was an interactiv­e session with the US companies attending the webinar online. The discussion included the topics like key airport developmen­t opportunit­ies, an overview of the Indian aviation market, best practices, doing business in India and assistance for US Companies in India.

During the discussion­s, S Suresh stated that India’s overall aviation market is estimated to be over USD16 billion and is projected to reach the third position globally in near future. Airport projects in India are the top opportunit­y, with new major airports being planned.

The live webinar concluded on a positive note with Airports Authority of India, welcoming US companies, to engage in Indian opportunit­ies and be a partner in aviation growth in the country.
