Two Bangladeshi arrested for kidnapping and raping minor
GREATER NOIDA: Two Bangladeshi, wanted in a kidnapping and raping a minor girl, have been nabbed by Dadri police on Thursday. Police said that the duo of accused were illegally living at a rented house in Dadri.
According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Babu and Raju, natives of Khulna district in Bangladesh. The duo was illegally living in India from past 8-9 years.
“We received a complaint stating that a 17-years old girl has been kidnapped by two persons. Upon investigating the matter, police successfully nabbed both the accused and freed the girl from their possession. The victim has been sent for the medical examination while the accused persons confessed to have committed rape with the girl” said Ram Sen Singh, Station House Officer, Dadri Police station.
Police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 363 (kidnapping) 366, 376 (Rape), 120B (Criminal Conspiracy) and section 14 international act. Both the accused persons were produced before the court and were sent to the jail, said police.
“During interrogation, it was found that both of these Bangladeshi somehow managed to come without any passport or visa. They had been living in chitthera village under Dadri area from past couple of years and were working at a car washing point” said Singh.
Police are now interrogating both these persons to find out whether they have links with any terrorist agency or not.
