‘For a New India, firstly we have to eradicate corruption’
NEW DELHI: “Aiming to build a New India, firstly we have to eradicate the corruption from each and every aspect of daily life. Corruption corrodes the vitals of the economy and was one of the major hindrances to economic and social progress of our nation. And one should be more vigilant with the commitment to highest standard of honesty, if we would like to build a new prosperous India”, said Central Vigilance Commissioner, KV Chowdary, while addressing the students, teachers RWAS, MTAS, employees, senior officers of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), MCDS and NCR'S local bodies at a seminar organized on the theme of “Eradicate Corruption –Build a New India” under the Vigilance Week at NDMC headquarters on Thursday.
Stressing upon the society awareness, he said that the basic need in respect of behavioral changes in the society was must for sustainable and positive attitude in social aspect of daily life. And we have to maintain the society attitude towards integrity and fight against corruption, if we have to achieve the corruption free New India by 75th Anniversary of our independence.
NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar said that the use of Smart Technology based intervention for providing civic solution to the citizens at their end through mobile phones, de-centralized service centres etc would help to promote the transparency and effectiveness of citizen services in working of local bodies.
