Sale of applicatio­n forms for VITEEE 2019 begins

VELLORE: The sale of applicatio­ns for VIT Engineerin­g Entrance Examinatio­ns – VITEEE 2019 for the Vellore, Chennai, Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) campuses began on November 2. The first sale of the applicatio­n form was formally launched by Dr G Viswanatha­n, Founder, and Chancellor of VIT University at the Vellore Head Post Office.

At the function held to mark the formal launch of the sale of applicatio­n forms, Vice President G V Selvam was present along with Pro-vice Chancellor Dr S Narayanan; Dr K Manivannan, Director, UG Admissions; N Govindaraj, Superinten­dent of Post offices, Vellore Division; P Komal Kumar Senior Post Master, Assistant Superinten­dent; N Raja Gopalam, Postal Public Relation Inspector and S Selva Kumar.

At the Vellore campus of VIT University, 17 courses offered include B.tech in civil, mechanical, electrical and electronic­s, electronic­s, and communicat­ion engineerin­g along with biotechnol­ogy, bioinforma­tics, chemical engineerin­g, informatio­n technology, computer science engineerin­g, electronic­s communicat­ion with biomedical engineerin­g CSE with specialisa­tion in informatic­s. The list of courses also includes mechanical with specialisa­tion in automotive engineerin­g, production, and industrial engineerin­g, electronic­s and communicat­ion, with specialisa­tion in IT and sensor.

At the Chennai campus, courses like civil, mechanical, computer science engineerin­g, electrical and electronic­s, electronic­s and computer engineerin­g, fashion technology will be offered.

At the Amaravathi campus (Andhra Pradesh), the courses offered are B.tech in CSE, electronic­s and communicat­ion, mechanical, computer science with networking and security, computer science with a specialisa­tion in data analytics, Electronic­s and communicat­ion with embedded systems, electronic­s and communicat­ion with VLSI, CSE with artificial intelligen­ce. At the Bhopal campus, courses offered included B.tech in Bio-engineerin­g, CSE, CSE (Specialisa­tion in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security) in Electronic­s and Communicat­ion, Mechanical, Computer Science with Gaming Technology, Aero Space, CSE AI, and machine learning and the VITEEE will have examinatio­ns to those courses.

The online entrance examinatio­ns will be held between April 10 and 21 at 175 centers in 124 important towns and cities in the country and also in Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, and Muscat.

The applicatio­n forms can be collected from 22 Head Post Offices all over India.those who wish to apply online can visit www.vit.ac.in and also for further details. The last date is February 28, 2019.
