Seven held for posing as dummy examinees in Noida
NOIDA: With the arrest of seven persons, the Noida Police Special Task Force (STF) busted a gang which produced dummy candidates in place of real candidates for online exams conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
Police said that the arrests were made while the accused had come to appear in an exam at a Centre in Sector-62 area of Noida on Friday.
According to a senior STF official, mastermind of the gang has been identified as Sanjeet, a resident of Haryana. The other miscreants are Sumit Pehlwan, Vikrant, Naveen Malik, Sunny, Subodh and Gajendra. Police said that the gang used to send fake candidates by making fake ID card of the real candidate during the exam time.
“The matter came to light after police received complaints of cheating in online ‘Group D’ examination for selection in the railways. The arrested persons include, three contractors, who used to contact candidates and three solver, who sit in the exam instead of real candidates.

2013, received trackman job in the railway from the sports quota,” said RK Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, STF.
Mishra said that the gang members used to morph the photograph of the students before they used to fill the form. By doing so, the photo was tarnished, then easily Solver could enter the examination centre instead of real candidates.
Mishra also said that upon interrogating the accused persons they told police that an imposter gets Rs 30, 000 to Rs 60, 000 to appear in an exam.
The gang used to contact aspirants who have been preparing for government exams and are getting coaching classes in Mukherjee Nagar of Delhi.
“The gang has taken Rs two crore from 200 students to replace them with the solvers for the online examination. The gang provides solver at Chandigarh, Patiyala, Sonipath and Noida exam. The solvers have been identified as Sujeet, Gajendra and Sunny, all three are from Nalanda in Bihar,” Mishra added.
The STF recovered three cars, Rs 4.51,500 lakh in cash, more than 100 examinations admit cards of students and 85 identification cards of students such as voter card, Aadhaar card, etc.
The STF also got the Rs 14 lakh from the bank account of miscreants and seized the bank account also.
