CM ARVIND KEJRIWAL INAUGURATES WORK OF SEWER LINE IN VIKASPURI

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister and Chairman of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday inaugurated the work of laying of sewer line in Vikaspuri Group of Colonies under Vikaspuri Assembly constituency. Vikaspuri MLA Mahinder Yadav and senior officials of the DJB were also present on the occasion. The project inaugurated in line with the approach of the Delhi Government and DJB to provide every colony of Delhi with sewer lines. This not only helps keep the city and these colonies clean but also lifts the living standard in these unauthorized colonies. This project will also help in the abetment of pollution in river Yamuna. Presently, the sewage/wastewater is directly being discharged into the river Yamuna. The project will cost about Rs 56.9 crore and will benefit 1.98 lakh residents of 33 unauthorised colonies under the Vikaspuri Constituency.
