Kobra Gang kingpin arrested
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has arrested an ex sharpshooter of infamous Naveen Khati gang.
The accused Nakul has formed his own gang called Kobra gang. He was previously involved in several cases of attempt to murder, Arms Act and was a declared BC of Chhawla. He, along with his associates, had assaulted a Government employee at Licensing Authority Ghummanhera, Delhi.
On April 29, information was received at Chhawla police station regarding the assault on a person near Ghummanhera Village. Local police reached the spot and found that one injured person has been taken to hospital. At the hospital, injured (the victim), an employee in Transport Authority Ghummanhera, Delhi and resident of Ghummandhera village, got recorded his statement that he was assaulted by one Nakul of his village along with his associates when he was coming home after office hours on that day.
He was arrested on May 19 from Ghummanhera. One Pistol 0.32" with two live rounds was found on the person of the accused. He is also a bad character of Chhawla. “He worked as a driver in a Call Centre but could not work for long as he fell in bad company and started taking liquor and other drugs. He joined infamous Naveen Khati Gang of Najafgarh and carried out several assaults on life of others. He was arrested several times while possessing illegal firearms/ ammunition and for carrying assaults to murder also,” said DCP Dwarka, Anto Alphonse.
Sometimes back he parted ways from Naveen Khati Gang to form his own. He roped in his previous associates to join the gang.
