Two-day Gyanotsav at CCSU concludes

MEERUT: The two-day education fest (Gyanotsav) organised in Chaudhury Charan Singh University ended on Thursday. Some of the major themes that were discussed during the fest included harnessing the educationa­l system of ancient India and promotion of the rich tradition and culture of the country to the younger generation

The chief guest at the event was Dr Sidharth Singh who is the cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh Government. Sharing his views Singh said, “The strong foundation of India lies in its rich culture and traditions. Our culture, traditions and religious diversity are our precious resources and it should be harnessed for the building of character which in turn, will help in building the nation.

The highlight of the event was various models and projects presented by students of Government schools. Complement­ing their efforts the chancellor of Chaudhury Charan Singh University said, “Often there is a view that the state of education in government schools is not good but the projects and models displayed by students of the government school in this fest will change the mentality. The creativity of students should be encouraged. Initiaves likes Atal Tinkering labs can go a long way in fulfilling this objective.”
