74 personnel recover so far

NEW DELHI: Since COVID19 outbreak, 74 personnel from different paramilita­ry forces have recovered from the deadly virus. Meanwhile, on Friday, 51 new cases were reported, taking the tally to over 930.

In CRPF, seven men have recovered from the virus since Corona outbreak. According to data, in the last 24 hours, about 24 new cases were reported from the force. "Currently there are around 271 active positive cases," an official said. Earlier one death was also reported.

According to BSF, since yesterday 13 personnel have been discharged from hospital. "These 13 BSF personnel recovered are in addition to earlier 24 cured cases," the official said, adding that on Friday 10 new cases were reported and all from Delhi. Since COVID-19 outbreak, more than 320 BSF personnel tested positive and two deaths were also reported.

In ITBP, 22 personnel have recovered so far and 151 active cases are still there. In the last 24 hours, two new cases were reported from the force. More than five personnel have recovered from CISF and 119 active cases are there in the force. "14 fresh cases were reported from the force on Friday, most of them from Mumbai," the official said.

In SSB, no new case was reported on Friday. According to force, 30 personnel were tested positive for the virus in which one of them recovered. Significan­tly, a worrying trend has emerged in the Coronaviru­s cases being detected among members of these forces across the Capital – one where the initial source of infection remains untraceabl­e.
