Over 190.65 cr Covid vax doses given in India
NEW DELHI: With 2,288 new Coronavirus infections reported in a day, India’s tally of Covid cases rose to 4,31,07,689, while the active cases decreased to 19,637, according to the Union Health ministry data updated on Tuesday.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 190.65 crore on Tuesday, the ministry said.
More than 12 lakh vaccine doses were administered till 7 pm on Tuesday, it said, adding that the daily vaccination tally is expected to go up with the compilation of the final reports by late night.
The death toll climbed to 5,24,103 with 10 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases comprise 0.05 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.74 per cent, the ministry said. A decrease of 766 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
