CLARIFICATION

With regard to news report ‘Two killed as train hits SUV’, published on May 10, 2022 on page 6 in brief section, it is clarified that the incident took place at an ‘unauthorised crossing’, not at an unmanned level crossing as stated in the news item. An FIR has already been lodged against that incident. NF Railway has already eliminated all unmanned level crossing gates to ensure safety of general public and efforts are on to discourage the unauthorised crossing and trespassing of railway premises including railway track.
