EDMC SEALS TWO LIQUOR STORES

NEW DELHI: East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) sealed two liquor stores on the Sevadham Road of Mandoli area. The civic body sealed these stores for operating illegally in the area. They had previously issued notices to both stores. EDMC Mayor Shyam Sundar Aggarwal said that the Delhi government has distributed liquor licences in Delhi irresponsibly under its new excise policy without any investigation for their own personal interests. The Mayor said that the Delhi government is pushing the youth of Delhi towards drugs and this shows its insensitivity. He added that the EDMC will not allow illegal liquor contracts to open in its area and will take strict action against illegal liquor contracts.
