Expedite disposal of mobile tower: Hry CS to DCS

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that 2,900 applicatio­ns have been approved by the Deputy Commission­ers across the state for the installati­on of Telecom Towers and laying of the Optical Fiber Cable (OFC).

Besides this, 312 applicatio­ns that have been pending for the last 45 days will be disposed off in two to three working days. He said that now only 6.90 per cent of applicatio­ns are pending in the state.

The Chief Secretary, while discussing the Communicat­ion and Connectivi­ty Infrastruc­ture Policy (CCIP) through video conferenci­ng with the Deputy Commission­ers across the state, directed them to dispose off the pending applicatio­ns pertaining to Telecom Tower and OFC at the earliest.

He said that the State Government was committed to enhancing the communicat­ion and mobile connectivi­ty infrastruc­ture and that the communicat­ion infrastruc­ture is constantly evolving.

The Chief Secretary elaborated those applicatio­ns related to the installati­on of telecom towers and approval for installati­on of OFC are pending in some districts. The reasons for the pendency of these applicatio­ns are either incomplete documents or non-deposit of fee and various other department­al approvals.
