Congress tried

-

Kavitha is in judicial custody in both the cases lodged by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI.

She was arrested by the ED from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad in the money laundering case on March 15. Later, she was arrested by the CBI from Tihar jail on April 11.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, hours after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him protection from coercive action by the federal antimoney laundering agency. He is currently lodged in Tihar jail.

The CBI is probing alleged corruption in the formulation and execution of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy 2021-22, while the ED is investigating the money laundering aspect.

“I have put forth the truth before the country that the Congress is hatching a deep conspiracy to snatch your wealth and distribute it among ‘select’ people,” he said.

He said when he exposed the vote bank politics of Congress, it angered the Congress and its INDI Alliance so much that they have started abusing him everywhere. Why is the Congress scared of the truth and hiding its policies, he asked.

“You have made the policy and taken the decision and when Modi exposed the secret and your hidden agenda came out, you are trembling,” he said.

The Prime Minister charged that the Congress is stuck in the quagmire of its vote bank and does not care about the Constitution.

“It is written in their manifesto that they will survey the wealth. Their leader had said in a speech that X-ray of wealth will be done. This means that if something is kept in a box or hidden in a wall, it will be searched through X-ray. Then they will capture all your property which is more than required and then distribute it among the people,” he said.

At a rally in Rajasthan on Sunday, Modi had said that if the Congress came to power, it would redistribute the wealth of people to “infiltrators” and

those who have more children, and cited former PM Manmohan Singh’s remark that the minority community had the first claim on the country’s resources.

He said during the Congress rule in Rajasthan, those who pelted stones on Ram Navmi procession were given protection and restrictions were imposed on such processions.

However, after the formation of the BJP government in the state, no one has the courage to question faith.

In a rally at Tonk, PM Modi said the Congress has tried to extend reservation on the basis of religion and give it to Muslims, and accused the party again of hatching a “deep conspiracy” to snatch people’s wealth and distribute it among a “select” group.

“The people of Rajasthan can never forget the wounds inflicted by the Congress while it was in power,” he said. This was his last election rally in Rajasthan where the final round of polling will take place on April 26.

who circulated a WhatsApp message among professionals claiming the Congress’ manifesto vowed to “seize two-thirds of personal assets for redistribution to the impoverished under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Wealth Redistribution Scheme.”

He also cited an article from a prominent newspaper as the source of such “misinformation,” declaring these assertions as completely untrue and asserting that the Congress’ manifesto contains no such pledge.

Chakravarty called these rumours a deliberate fabrication intended to incite professional classes against the Congress and manipulate their voting choices.

He urged the Election Commission to take immediate action to halt the spread of these harmful rumours and announced plans to file a complaint with the Delhi Police under relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as notifying Meta India’s authorities.

others in the 2G spectrum allocation case, paving the way for hearing the matter six years after the plea was filed by the agency.

Admitting the Central Bureau of Investigation’s appeal, the high court

had said there were “some contradictions” in the trial court’s judgement which require “deeper examination”.

A special court had on December 21, 2017, acquitted Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and others in the CBI and ED cases related to the 2G spectrum allocation.

On March 20, 2018, the CBI had approached the high court, challenging the special court’s judgement.

The CBI had alleged there was a loss of Rs 30,984 crore to the exchequer in allocation of licences for 2G spectrum which were scrapped by the top court on February 2, 2012.
