Hy­att Re­gency Delhi, the ag­ship lux­ury ve-star prop­erty of in In­dia has been certied as ‘Lead­er­ship in En­ergy and En­vi­ron­men­tal De­sign’ LEED Plat­inum by Green Busi­ness Certication (GBCI), the body that certies all LEED projects glob­ally. With this hon­our, the Delhi prop­erty is the rst Hy­att ho­tel in over 700 prop­er­ties across the world and one of the few ho­tels in Delhi to re­ceive this es­teemed certication.

Dur­ing a spe­cial cer­e­mony at the ho­tel, the in­ter­na­tion­ally recog­nised LEED plaque and certicate were pre­sented to Shiv Ja­tia, Chair­man and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Asian Ho­tels (North) by Gopalakr­ish­nan P., Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor – Asia Pacic and Middle East, GBCI.

LEED is the fore­most pro­gramme for the de­sign, con­struc­tion and op­er­a­tion of green build­ings and pro­vides a con­cise frame­work for iden­ti­fy­ing and im­ple­ment­ing prac­ti­cal and mea­sur­able de­sign, con­struc­tion, op­er­a­tions, and main­te­nance so­lu­tions. As a LEED Plat­inum 5-Star Ho­tel, Hy­att Re­gency Delhi is now recog­nised on the ba­sis of ex­cel­lence in sus­tain­able de­sign, water efciency, en­ergy and at­mos­phere, ma­te­rial and re­sources, in­door en­vi­ron­men­tal qual­ity, and in­no­va­tion in op­er­a­tions. The prop­erty is also com­mit­ted to re­duc­ing light pol­lu­tion.
