Yoga coach,

Mother & Baby - - BUMP TO BIRTH -

Preeti Saktavat reminisces, ‘I was in Mumbai when I was pregnant with my first baby. It was quite fun apart from morning nauseous that I had. I worked with DHL country office at the time where both my employer and colleagues were very supportive. I was allowed to work flexible hours as well. I used to take care of my diet and had enrolled for prenatal yoga class which helped me to deal with the stress. I never stopped the yoga and today am a professional trainer. Yoga helps a lot in dealing with almost all kind of stress during pregnancy but it’s always advisable to do it only under guidance. Some of the asanas I recommend to pregnant ladies are: 1) Butterfly stretch 2) Cat-Cow Cobra (in the first trimester only if comfortable) 3) Seated forward bend (with modifications) 4) Side-angle pose 5) Standing forward bend (with a chair for modification) 6) Triangle pose (with a chair for modification)
