With an aim to make learning a fun process, home-grown Playshifu has come up with a new Augmented Reality (Ar)-based gaming kit -- Plugo -- at Rs 2,999. The new gaming kit makes screen-time more educational for your kids and helps you, as a parent, in educating your child in an interesting yet exciting way.
Designed for 5-11-year-old kids, each gaming kit offers exciting educational games that are conceptualized to make your child learn while playing. It is made of plastic and consists of Count, Link and a gamepad.
The Count kit comes with two sets of 10 blue numbered game pieces with numbers on each side. One side in white and another is brown. The gaming kit also comes with two additional yellow pieces with a plus, minus, divide and subtract symbols, one symbol per side are included with each set of number pieces.
The Count central base piece is yellow and connects magnetically to
the gamepad. One side has brown dots to direct how the piece should be used based on the game requirements and the side of the game pieces that should be used.
Plugo Link is played by the combination of 15 building block on Plugo app. Children can stack magnetic hexagonal blocks to build structures and solve puzzles, constructional challenges. This game helps in improving the spatial reasoning, critical reasoning and comprehension skills of children.
The gamepad -- a pad with a dock which holds the phone or tablet -- is blue in colour and folds out flat. On one end there is the spring-loaded mobile device holder that accepts the tablet or the phone. On the back, there is a purple Playshifu logo. It also has space to put controllers. These controllers connect magnetically to the gamepad and control the games on the tablet or smartphone.
This interesting game based on mathematics and logical reasoning are easy to set up. Once you lay the gamepad flat and insert the tablet or smartphone into the spring-loaded device holder slot the gamepad is ready to go. You then download the Playshifu Plugo app and follow the setup instructions.
The app uses the tablet or smartphone’s front camera to create AR visuals on the screen by scanning the toys kept in the mat’s play area. The rest is physical work for the kid where the app helps educate them by using Arbased games.
Children can play this game using Count Spike and sets of numbers and operators. Users have to solve mathematical and algebraic puzzles. The format is simple. This set also has four games on Plugo app. Here also, 250+ progressive levels are present.
As the usage of smartphone or tablet has gone up among the children, it is important for parents to manage their screen time and keep a tab on how they are spending time on the gadget. This kit allows your child to play and interact using various kits to learn skills such as vocabulary, math, critical thinking and more.
