Realme 5 and 5 Pro

Oppo spin-off brand Realme has announced two new smartphone­s in the country -- Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro -- which come equipped with quad camera.

The Realme 5 comes in three storage variants -- 3GB+32GB, 4GB+128GB and 4GB+128GB priced at Rs 9,999, Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999 respective­ly. While the Realme 5 Pro comes in 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB storage options at Rs 13,999, Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respective­ly.

The Realme 5 is available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colours and its Pro version comes in Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue colours. Both the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro are available on Flipkart and Realme.com.

Realme 5 Pro: The Realme 5 Pro is the first 48MP quad camera phone in its segment. It features a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP 119-degree ultra wide-angle camera, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the device sports a 16MP camera. The Realme 5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) Minidrop display with 450 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3GHZ Snapdragon 712 chipset based on a 10nm process. The device houses a 4,035mah battery and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging with a 20W fast charger and runs on Coloros 6 based on Android 9 Pie.

Realme 5: The Realme 5’s quad camera system is slightly different from the Pro model. It gets a 12MP f/1.8 primary camera instead of a 48MP sensor. The other three cameras remain the same -- an 8MP and two 2MP sensors where one is for macros and the other for portraits. The device sports a 6.5-inch HD+ Minidrop display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with rear-mounted fingerprin­t sensor and face unlock. It is powered by a new 2.0Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 665 AIE chipset based on a 11nm process. The Realme 5 houses 5,000mah battery and runs on Android Pie-based
